Thanks to the world wild web - it is a pleasure to meet you! Thank you for stopping by. You can read more about me here. I wanted to take a deeper dive into my own fitness/lifestyle journey so you can get a better idea of my experience and why I do what I do! Grab your glass of water, coffee, or tea - let’s connect!

In highschool - I ran track but it was more quitting halfway each season. The weight room was on Tuesday and Thursdays and I really looked forward to lifting with my friends. The passion that I have for lifting was not quite strong then as it is now. Typical teenager - eating whatever I want - ramon noodles, bologna sandwiches, McDonalds, soda, chips, pizza, wings, etc. Super thankful that my mom is an avid cooker so I did enjoy many home cooked meals. However - I enjoyed my second….and third helpings. My weight was up & down from my teenage years until late 20’s. As a young 32 yr old - I am in the best shape that I have ever been reflecting on the last decade of my journey.

What does being in shape mean to me?

  • Saying “No” to dieting. I was caught in the always dieting cycle. Since my powerlifting competition 2017 - I have been more mindful to eat at maintenance or even surplus calories consistently to allow muscle growth and add more variety in my eating regime. There is nothing wrong with dieting - just know that you don’t have to eat a specific branded diet to be skinny. Eat in a manner that feels good to you. PLUS If you also love your body physique - that’s the ultimate goal! Love who you are right now.

  • I GET to eat a variety of fresh & nutritious food that satiates my body

  • I feel strong AF and I love the way my body looks. I created a strong & lean body with muscles and curves in all the right places

  • A balance of mental & emotional clarity - getting to know my body - what works well for me and what doesn’t

  • Awareness of self-care (Eat the cake, Anna Mae! ) Enjoy life & move forward. You can always start with whatever health looks like to you with your next meal

In my early 20’s - It came down to being “sick and tired” of not getting the results that I wanted. I chose to take the opportunity to work with three personal trainers over six months to see what would work and what didn’t for me (yes! Invest in yourself). I was fortunate to meet my first trainer who taught me what I know now and I have added on to my toolbox with furthering my education in training & nutrition. I believe in moderation and sustainability in a fitness/nutrition lifestyle - I’ve modeled that through my powerlifting journey, training for my half & full marathons, triathlon, and my current daily lifting/eating routine.

I am driven by purpose and I am your primary go-to fitness online trainer and nutrition coach.
